Core Service Java Client

A fully functional Java client that works with Tridion's Core Service. This elegant proxy API connects any Java client to the WCF web service.

Core Service Java Client logo

The Java client is generated automatically from the Core Service's Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) file using Java 6 out-of-the-box generation tool (wsimport.exe). The generated proxy classes offer an application-level API to communicate with the Core Service WCF web service, thus shielding the developer from having to deal with connection management, serialization, deserialization, or error handling. Instead, the developer can focus on the task at hand and as such it increases productivity.

The Java client creates a 1-to-1 replica of the service-provided methods and data model, and connects any Java application to the SDL Tridion Content Manager.

Features

  • Full Core Service functionality support (including binary/multimedia manipulation)
  • Basic Authentication support
  • Uses standard Java 6 (no additional JARs required)
  • Trivial installation
